Visitor Facilities:
Public access tables; photocopying; extensive library of regional and local periodicals, monographs, books and other sources; photographic and aerial photographic collection; immediately adjacent to local studies section.

Range of information available:
Records of archaeological sites, findspots and listed buildings, including fieldwork reports, original section or plan drawings, and photographs. Also available are thematic files, parish files, and overlays of both ridge and furrow and field names.

Please note: the Oxon SMR is publicly accessible, but an appointment must be made in advance.  There are dedicated desks and power sockets for laptop use. Photocopying of some (not all) SMR material is permitted at the current cost of 10p a sheet.

Commercial consultations are charged for external consultations, but not charged to consult the SMR in person.
