Kitchen garden walls and gateways. Probably 1839 by Edward Blore. English bond gault brick with
plain stone coping and ashlar gateway. Rectangular plan walled kitchen garden with two gateways on
the south side. The main gateway is ashlar, with elliptical arch with keystone and imposts and flanking
tapered rusticated pilasters on pedestals, supporting entablature with panelled frieze and paired brackets
with cornice and blocking course surmounted by shaped pediment and small flanking obelisks; all in
a Jacobethan style; iron gate with spearheads to mid and top rails. The other gateway has brick arch
with stone imposts and decorated iron gate.

Mid C19. Stone. Elliptically headed archway flanked by tapering, rusticated
pilasters with sunken panels to bases and moulded capitals. Entablature of panelled
frieze and deep, moulded cornice carried on paired brackets. Two small obelisks on
pedestals flank shaped pediment with raised decoration to tympanum.
