APPLEBY MAGNA TOP STREET (east side) SK 30 NW 6/19 Entrance gates, piers and wall at the Sir John Moore C.E. 24.11.65 School GV II Gates and piers of 1697 and later brick entrance wall. Pair of plain red brick piers with stone ornaments above. Carriage gates in two leaves with simple late C17 wrought iron work. Pedestrian gate of similar design. Brick wall dividing school grounds from roadside.
