Large early C18 and earlier coaching inn, later a school, now Divisional Education Office. Red brick, tiled hipped roof with corbelled cornice. Two storeys, twelve sash windows with glazing bars in nearly flush frames under cantered arches. Central canted bay, full height with three windows, hipped roof. Six fielded panelled door under Doric porch. Left central carriage arch. Taller wing runs back from south end.
