HER 2989 DESCRIPTION:-
A round barrow 21 paces dia, by 1'(0.3m) high.{3}
There are indications of a possible second barrow (SMR 2990) nearby.{4}{1}
Now visible only as a slight swelling in a ploughed field. The area of the barrow is noticeably stonier than the surrounding part of the field. A similar, slightly raised stoney area at ST88159627 may be the possible second barrow referred to by Burton.{4}{2}
Located SW of Star Farm.{6}
Definite grass-covered slightly stoney mound but in the "below 30cm" class.{7}
