Full description

1. Walled garden probably enclosed in 1752 ( BM Add MS 35679, 67 - 73), retains with little alteration its original red- brick walls, about 12ft high, but there is a breach on the N the result of aerial action during the last war. The S wall is a hot wall; the others are said to be solid. The gardener's cottage and outer wall in white brick are C19.
