Full description
1., Possible Roman settlement lies NE of the village and E of Ness Road, on level ground on chalk at about 30ft above OD. Evidence for a settlement comes from sherds of the C2 - C3 said to have been found. Roof tiles and sherds of Horningsea type were noted on the site in 1969.
3. Roman site reported long ago by Dr Lucas. Visited 26/03/1952 by TC Lethbridge. Roman sherds C2 - C3.
