Full description

The chapel is a square, roofless building which projects boldly from the NE corner of the curtain wall. It had fine windows of two and three lights which overlooked each side of the moat. There was a priest's quarters (a lean-to structure outside the shell keep) which could be reached via a doorway in the chapel. Inside there was a precious alabaster statue of "the Blessed Virgin" (b11).
