Full description
The settlement of Parkwalls is first recorded in 1490 when it is spelt "Pokewallys". The name is English and means 'Puck (or goblin) walls', perhaps referring to some supposedly haunted ruins or hut circles in the vicinity (b1). Parkwalls is still occupied and the settlement is subdivided in to Parkwalls and Little Parkwalls. The latter is marked on the 1st edition 6" map.
