Full description

Longhouse within the main, excavated courtyard complex at Mawgan Porth settlement (22101.1). It consisted of a byre and a living room, separated by a partition, and with opposed entrances in the long walls, beside the partition. Another door opened through the east wall into the courtyard. Various furnishings & fittings in the living room. Silver penny of Aethelred II (990- 995) from here: but stratigraphic relationship uncertain (b2,176-180).
