Full description
According to Henderson, Pawton deer park was enclosed c1258 (b3). Borlase records that during his time "the double walls and fences of the deer park are still extant on the barton" (b2). Henderson said that the deer park fields remained during his lifetime (b1), but a field visit by the OS in 1972 indicated that the park cannot be deduced from the present hedges (h1).
