Full description

A small scoop quarry immediately behind the redan north west of Woolpack quarry (7906.24) is recorded on the 1888 OS 1:2500 map and marked 'old quarry' (b1). It is also recorded, unlabelled on the 1907 OS 1:2500 map (b2). No doubt the source of the stone for the redan and thus C18 (b3). The monument was included in the Schedule on 19/3/1998.
