Full description
A pillbox is visible at this location, alongside the Falmouth-Truro railway line, on vertical aerial photographs taken in 1946 (p1). The pillbox (now demolished) was recorded during the Defence of Britain Project (AH63). It formed part of a defensive ring to the west of Falmouth, designed to prevent an attack on the port from inland.
