Full description
A mine was re-commenced here in 1844 just to the east of St Cleer. Althought it is recorded that a 23'' engine was installed here in 1846 and an adit driven 250 fathoms at a depth of 13 fathoms in the same year, nothing else was discovered of the site (b1).
The OS recorded a small shaft dump next to the road at SX 2545 6812, but nothing else. Dr Hamilton jenkin recorded in 1963 that most of the shaft dump had been removed and a bungalow built on its site. In 1980, a small rectangular shaft in the field was at that time open (b2).
