An area of earthworks to the east of Woolston could be a curved rampart approx 8.5m wide (1.2m high internally, 0.8m high externally). To the south a possible ditch is located on the crest of a hill and a sub-circular core (internal diameter approx 15m) to the south west could be a motte or a ring work. The feature may be late prehistoric or medieval (h1) RIS-PCH field notes 297.
