Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over a farm lane at 288m 28c. It is recorded on the 1st Edition 1:2500 OS map, but is not shown on later editions. The southern elevation and the soffit of the bridge survive, but the structure is now blind and has been infilled at the rear. It is of squared masonry with an elliptical arch having cut stone voussoirs. There is a dressed stone string course above, and a coped stone parapet with terminal piers. Ramped wing walls meet the abutments with a straight joint. Probably built at the request of the Hon Anna Maria Agar, as the land here was part of the Lanhydrock estate. (JRS).
