Full description
A bridge carrying the line of the Cornwall Railway over the public road at 312m 12c. The bridge is of squared masonry, mostly brought to course, with a segmental arch on vertical abutments. There are smooth finished dressed stone voussoirs and rusticated quoins to the abutments. Above the arch is an ashlar string course and a coped stone parapet. Ramped wing walls are set forward from the arch and straight-jointed to the abutment, with terminal piers and granite capstones. The bridge is approx 5m wide, for a single-track line. (JRS)
