Full description
Lesingey Round is a small univallate earthwork now covered in woodland. The inner slope of the rampart is absent in places but the outer slope is continuous to the base of a well preserved ditch. The rampart is between 3.5m to 4.5m high from the bottom of the ditch. A field boundary has been built around the outer edge of the ditch. There are no surface indications of occupation within the earthwork. Lesingey Round may be the 'Castle Hornek' referred to by Norden (b2, 31699).
