Summary

Exminster parish church. In the churchyard, near the nw gate, stands the headless shaft of a type b cross. It is square at the base with convex mouldings bounded by incised lines at the angles higher up. It has been used as a gatepost (os). Cross shaft. Medieval. Granite monolith. Tapering cross shaft, square at the base with convex mouldings on either side of a central fillet (doe, 1987).

Exminster parish church. In the churchyard, near the nw gate, stands the headless shaft of a type b cross. It is square at the base with convex mouldings bounded by incised lines at the angles higher up. It has been used as a gatepost (os).

Exminster churchyard SX846877
A cross shaft stands in the churchyard, near the north-west gate, enclosed behind iron railings. A headless shaft of a cross, square at the base and with convex mouldings bounded by incised lines at the angles higher up. It has been at some time used as a gatepost.
Cross shaft 1.83 metres, width at base 0.22 metres.
