A narrow linear earthwork, circa 110 metres in length and up to 4 metres wide, is visible on aerial photographs of April 1946. The earthwork is potentially the remains of a former strip field boundary of probable medieval date. The curvilinear runs roughly parallel to the remains of a second former boundary approximately 20 metres to the west, that was not removed until the first half of the 20th century, as demonstrated by its depiction on the Ordnance Survey second edition 25inch series map of 1904-6. The date of the boundary is unknown, but a medieval origin seems probable.
