Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A straight linear bank, aligned approximately north-east to south-west and circa 4 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946 as a pale and indistinct cropmark with slightly darker borders. It follows the same alignment as extant field boundaries to the south and is probably part of a post-medieval field system. No field boundary is depicted in this location on the 1844 Tithe Map, and the cropmark probably formed over the ploughed out bank and ditches of a field boundary which fell out of use before the mid-nineteenth century.
