A possible former field boundary of post-medieval date is visible on aerial photographs as a cropmark at Nabor Point, nearly 300 metres north-west of South Hole Farm, Hartland. The roughly north-south orientated cropmark does not correspond with any boundary marked on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch series first edition maps of circa 1880s-1890s, and indeed the area in which the cropmark is visible is depicted as rough ground. However, it is on a similar alignment to those boundaries which are depicted and might be of similar date. This might therefore support the interpretation that the cropmark is forming over the remains of a former field boundary of post-medieval date.
