Narrow ridge and furrow, probably created for post-medieval or modern agricultural improvement and drainage, is visible as earthwork banks.

Narrow ridge and furrow earthworks, probably created for post-medieval or modern agricultural improvement and drainage, is visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of the 1940s, to the north-east of Newhaven Woods, Parkham.
The earthworks are orientated roughly east to west, across the east facing slopes overlooking the River Yeo, probably to facilitate drainage. The earthworks are not clearly visible on aerial photographs taken after 1967, and might have been damaged or lowered by later improvements.
