Finds included 31 sherds of 2C-3C Romano-British pottery & an intaglio ring insert with 'wheat-sheaf' representation. Excavation at the crop mark to the north of 'Rewe Cross' in 1992 indicated occupation of the site in the 2C & 3C & again later in the medieval period. The ditched enclosure probably had origins as a farmstead in the Romano-British period. A small assemblage of Roman pottery was recovered including 'South Devon' & 'Exeter' ware of the mid 2C to mid 3C.

The intaglio is in fact of paste, 18C, and possibly worn as a fob seal.
