Summary

Training Aid 6F is one of ten Second World War structures constructed at Baggy Point as part of Area F of the Woolacombe US Army Assault Training Area. It is one of seven training ‘faces’ or walls built to the east of Area F and visible as structures on aerial photographs of 1945 but appears to have been removed by 1958.

Training Aids 4F-10F recorded on original US army plans of the Assault Training Center on the north side of Baggy Point.

Seven of ten pillbox structures in Area 'F' of the World War II US Assault Training Centre at Baggy Point. Training Aid numbers 6F, 9F and 10F were destroyed by the National Trust before 1997 but remnants of the rest with their associated earthworks remain.

It is one of seven training ‘faces’ or walls built to the east of Area F, largely centred around a field at circa SS427407. Training Aid 6F is visible as a structure nearly five metres long and less than a metre wide centred on circa SS42784075. It is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of 1946 but appears to have been removed by September 1958.
