A circular structure is visible on aerial photographs from 1958, and appears, from examination of the interactive ground photography on Google Streetview, to be made of concrete. It is less than 2 metres in diameter and is incorporated into the drystone wall around Downend House gardens. This area is indistinct on available 1940s aerial photographs, so it is difficult to determine whether this structure had a Second World War function, although it is possible that it could have been used as a roadblock for instance.

A circular structure, probably made of concrete and incorporated into a dry stone wall, is visible.
