An oval cropmark roughly 15 to 20 metres in diameter is visible on aerial photographs of July 1946 on the western tip of the summit of Berry Down. It has been interpreted as possible evidence of a small Bowl Barrow of Bronze Age date. Bowl barrows of similar and larger size have been recorded forming a barrow cemetery to the south and east on Berry Down. This cropmark could indicate an outlier of this cemetery. The cropmark is not visible on the later aerial photographs available to the survey and this site would benefit from further investigation.
