Summary
A broad but low earthwork mound is visible on aerial photographs of 1955 near the northern summit of Berry Down, to the west of Berrydown Cross. Bowl barrows of similar size have been recorded forming a barrow cemetery further to the south on the higher slopes of Berry Down. This earthwork could be the remains of a large Bowl barrow forming an outlier of this cemetery.

A broad but low earthwork mound is visible.

A low earthwork mound approximately 40 metres in diameter is visible on aerial photographs of 1955 centred at circa SS57054421 near the northern summit of Berry Down, to the west of Berrydown Cross. A barrow cemetery containing Bowl barrows of similar size has been recorded approximately 600 metres to the south-west and this earthwork could an outlier of this cemetery. The mound is not identifiable on later aerial photographs available to the survey and might have been levelled by modern agricultural improvements.
