Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A curved roofed structure is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946, adjacent to several structures and earthworks interpreted as possible military features. By 1948 only a platform is visible in this location, the superstructure having been removed by this point, and no visible remains are identifiable on aerial photographs dating from 1958. The structure could be an open-fronted shelter, although at circa 11 by 5 metres it is consistent with an interpretation as a Nissen hut, and the base visible in 1948 could well be concrete. Remains of the platform may survive within the dunes or beneath vegetation cover.
