Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A probable relict field boundary bank is visible as a curvilinear earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1946. It is circa 2.5 metres wide and 115 metres in length, and fits into the surrounding field pattern, characterised as medieval in origin. No field boundary is depicted in this location on the Tithe map and the field boundary is therefore likely to have gone out of use prior to the mid nineteenth century. No evidence of a bank is visible on other available aerial photographs and it is likely to have been levelled by ploughing since the 1940s.
