Full description

Butler, J., 1991, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume Two - The North, 106, 241, Map 32, Site 20 (Monograph). SDV219155.

Hare Tor N. 2 cairn at SX55098446 (?) of 10.0 metres diameter by 1.0 metres high. About a third of the material has been removed from the eastern side but it is still a substantial monument. Cairn lies 120 metres downhill to the south-west from Hare Tor N cairn 1 (Grid reference is therefore inaccurate).

Probert, S. + Fletcher, M. + Newman, P., 1998, Willsworthy Training Area, Peter Tavy, Devon: An Archaeological survey by the Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England (Report - Survey). SDV350638.

(20/07/1998) A turf-covered mound of uncertain origin lies just off the crest of a broad ridge at SX55288457, some 510 metres above ordnance datum. It measures 6.4 metres by 6.1 metres and up to 0.4 metres high and lies in an area of peat cutting. Its origin and function are not obvious but it could be either a cairn of prehistoric origin or possibly a stone clearance cairn associated with the post medieval peat cutting.

Probert, S., 2001, Willsworthy Training Area, Peter Tavy, Devon. Integrated Land Management Plan Implementation: Archaeological Condition Baseline Survey Appendices 2-5 (Report - Survey). SDV357727.
