Full description

19th century livestock shed (B.A.R. 2.2.4).

Cattle shed. A small cowshed forming the west side of the yard. Cob, rubble stone. Some cob on walltops. Corrugated iron roof. Tie Beam Truss. Roof structure of 3 bays with 19th century replacement tie beam trusses with bolted X apexes and I set of back purlins. Door/s; Timber window/s. Two doorways to front (east) with plank doors held on strap hinges with teardrop finials. A central, unglazed window with a plain pegged frame. To the rear there is a blocked window and a corrugated iron lean -to. In the north gable end there is a reused 17th century timber window with a diamond mullion, rebates and holes for glazing bars. Currently used as a cow house.
