Environment Agency, 1998-2008, Lidar data JPEG SX74SE DSM, LIDAR SX74SE DSM Environment Agency 1998-2008 (Cartographic). SDV351207.

The remains of a former field boundary of possible medieval date are visible as an earthwork ditch.

Hegarty, C. + Knight, S. + Sims, R., 2013-2014, South Devon Coast Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV351146.

A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork ditch on LiDAR images of between 1998-2008,to the southwest of Beaconspark Plantation. The earthwork is northeast to southwest aligned, measures approximately 6.5m wide and generally respects the existing field patterns. The earthwork abuts a roughly north-south aligned former boundary at its southwest extent which is also visible on LiDAR images, but which appears on the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48 and was not mapped as part of this survey. A roughly parallel boundary which lies 28m to the southeast is also visible on the South Pool tithe map and may suggest the presence of a system of medieval strip fields. The boundary was not, however, visible on aerial photographs.
