(Visited 31/03/2011) Spoil heap thought to be associated with Devon Wheal Francis. Spoil heap stretches 13 metres east from the tight bend in the track between the crossing points of Copper and Yarner streams. Hamilton Jenkin gives Devon Wheal Francis coordinates of SX778783, so a connection is likely. Vegetation documented, including trees and moss and leaf litter covering the heap. One photograph taken. Supporting photographic record held by Natural England.
