An apparent leat follows the contours around a small triangular promontory to the north of Lydford Viaduct. The feature appears as a terrace some 1.5 metres wide which lies up to 2 metres below the edge of the field. The 1884 Ordnance Survey map shows this feature as a solid line passing under Silver Street and continuing south-west and then eastwardsto the trackway under the viaduct. The leat may have been associated with Lydford Mill or the mine workings to the south. The feature is not present on the Tithe Map.
