Small oval pond shown on 19th century map.


Exeter Archaeology, 2008, Archaeological Assessment of Proposed Sewage Treatment Works at Lydford, 11, Figure 6 (Report - Assessment). SDV351460.

The 1884 Ordnance Survey map depicts a pond at the bottom of a stream valley to the south-east of Lydford village. It is not shown on the Ordnance Survey map of 1906. It is possible that the pond was associated with mineral workings.
