Small narrow pond shown on early 20th century map with an L-shaped earthwork to the north.

The Ordnance Survey map of 1906 depicts a pond adjacent to an L-shaped earthwork at the bottom of a stream valley to the east of Lydford village. The pond appears to be fed by a leat further up the slope. The earthwork and others are depicted in this area alongside the stream on the modern Geoexplorer map. It is possible that these features represent mineral workings.
