Bathe, manor house. First mentioned 1281.(fulford williams). Vis=17/6/1971 (os). Of no interest except for well moulded tudor doorway in the wing. This has date "1541", but cut at least two hundred years later, and this doorway is not in situ since the lintel extends well beyond the right jamb. John bourchier, first earl of bath, took his title from his house in 1536 (roberts).
