Former field boundaries of potential medieval date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards and on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the north of Hoodown Farm. The former boundaries are visible as a series of three segmented and parallel northeast to southwest aligned earthwork banks. The two northern-most boundaries are closely spaced by approximately 9m and may represent a former double-banked trackway. The former boundaries generally respect the historic field boundaries and may form part of medieval land division which passed out of use by the time of the Kingswear parish tithe map of between 1838-48.
