Full description

An early 19th century farmstead, with a plan which has remained unchanged since at least the 1840s. The buildings are fairly well-preserved and the barn may contain masonry from an earlier building. 3 sided yard. The yard plan is identical to the tithe map plan. The yard is situated to the east of the house, on a slope, with a threshing barn to the south opening out onto a rickyard and backing onto the stockyard. An open-fronted cattleshed forms the south east corner, with a stable and open-fronted cattleshed on the north side of the yard. The stable and north cattleshed are terraced into the ground behind. On the drive to the farm, to the south, there is a cart shed, which also appears on the Tithe map. The cider house was in the farmhouse. Part historic, cobbled yard.
