A narrow field that appears from aerial photographic evidence to have been stripped of topsoil in 1942 may have been the source of bank material for earth-bound structures in a Second World War military complex to the east. The field is linked to the complex (MDV105359) by a lane which appears to have been well used in the 1940s, and by 1946 the narrow field seems to be considerably sunken compared to the surrounding fields. The area was developed for housing before 1977, and no remains are likely to survive.
