The former extraction pit is sub-oval in shape, measures approximately 29m in length by 22m in width and remains visible as an earthwork pit, although largely levelled, on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012. The former extraction pit is located within an area characterised by similar such earthwork features.
