A hulk of modern date is visible as a recently abandoned structure on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, within the Exe Estuary, to the north of The Point, Exmouth. The hulk of the former vessel, which was likely abandoned sometime after August 1941, is first visible as a recently abandoned and complete structure on aerial photographs of 1946. It is broadly east to west aligned, measures approximately 18m in length by 5.5m in width and lies within the sand and mud approximately 42m to the north of The Point. Aerial photographs of 1950 show that the former vessel has been subject to significant weathering and only the outline of the hulk remains visible. By 1969, the hulk has almost entirely been eroded away, with only the possible traces of several upstanding ribs remaining visible. The hulk is no longer visible by 1979, although elements of the former vessel may still survive within the estuarine muds.
