Three circular pits are visible.

Circular earthwork pits up to 12 metres in diameter are visible on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the east of Sidmouth. A radial pattern of upcast spoil surrounding the pits might support the interpretation that they are bomb craters of Second World War date. The pits are not visible on aerial photographs taken post-1950.
