An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1947 onwards to the south of Greenacres. The former clay or gravel extraction pit is sub-oval in shape and measures approximately 25m in length by 19m in width. The extraction pit, which is located within an area dominated by similar such features, remains visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs up until 1969, although has been completely levelled by 1988.
