Summary

'Seanchai' dates to at least the mid-19th century (depicted on the Tithe Map), but may be earlier. Appears to have been constructed as at least two separate cottages but was combined to one dwelling, possibly in the early 20th century. Adjoins 'Tor View' to the south-west.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

L-shaped building depicted on the Tithe Map, adjoining larger house to the south-west. Another structure (not dwelling) adjoining to the north-east. Apportionment (124) simply records 'Cottage'.

At least three adjoining cottages depicted on the late 19th century historic map, with adjacent structure to the south-west joined at right angles.
