Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards at Little Knowle. The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the East Budleigh parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. Aerial photographs of 1946 show that that the orchard trees have been largely grubbed out, although a series of parallel northeast to southwest aligned earthwork banks, on which the fruit trees were established, remain visible. These surviving banks occupy an area of approximately 0.17 hectares of gently northeast facing slope and remain visible as a series of slight earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 2000.
