An extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1945 onwards and remains visible on digital images derived from LiDAR data captured between 1998-2012, to the east of Woodlands Farm. The former extraction pit is oval in shape, measures approximately 27m in length by 18m in width and is located within an area dominated by similar such earthwork features.
