Field called 'Quarry Close' on 1842 Tithe Apportionment and circa 1842 Tithe Map (plot No.777) depicts a circular feature, likely to be a quarry at SS 2366 2581. The 1886 OS map shows no quarry, but suggests tree-covered disturbed ground in a similar location.
