The linear cropmark of a possible former ditch is visible.

A linear cropmark of uncertain date and function is visible on aerial photographs of 1967, to the east of Cruwyshayes. The cropmark is fairly well defined, is north to south aligned and measures between 2-3m in width. Since the cropmark continues either side of a field boundary, it is unlikely to be of agricultural origin and similarly does not appear to be the result of geological variation. The cropmark may represent the remains of a former boundary ditch and given that the possible ditch does not appear to respect the historic field boundaries, may be of some antiquity. It may, however, equally represent the partial evidence of a modern drain, or other such feature. The cropmark was not visible on other aerial photographs or digital images consulted during the survey and should be viewed with some degree of caution.
